Goldendoodle Puppies for Chennai

Dogs sweat very little. They cool themselves mostly by panting, which works by evaporating moisture from the tongue and airways. In Chennai's humid air, less of that moisture evaporates, so each breath cools the dog less. Add a Goldendoodle's coat, and a dog can overheat on a Chennai evening that would feel manageable in drier Delhi or Pune.

Cooling that works in humid air

• Moving air. A fan pointed at your dog helps far more in humidity than still air, even in a cool room.
• Air conditioning or a well-ventilated room for the hottest hours, with a tiled floor or a cooling mat to lie on.
• Cool water on the belly, armpits and paws, where the coat is thinnest, rather than soaking the whole coat. Then dry the coat, so damp does not sit against the skin.
• Several water bowls, refreshed often, and water on every walk.

A Goldendoodle has floppy ears that close over the ear canal, and it often inherits the Poodle's habit of growing hair inside the canal. Together with Chennai's humidity, that makes ear infections one of the most common reasons doodles visit the vet here.

• Look inside and smell the ears once a week.
• Dry the outer ear gently with a soft cloth after every bath, swim or rainy walk.
• Ask your vet or groomer whether the hair in the canal needs trimming or removing.
• Use only a vet-approved cleaner, and never push cotton buds into the canal.

See a vet if you notice head-shaking, scratching at the ears, redness, a bad smell or discharge. Ear infections caught early are quick to treat; left alone, they become painful and hard to clear.

Three things are compulsory for a pet dog in Chennai: a licence from the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), a rabies vaccination and a microchip that links the dog to you. The corporation set December 2025 as the deadline for microchipping, and owners found without one afterwards were reported to be fined ₹5,000. It has offered licensing and microchipping free of charge at its designated centres.

A puppy of eight to ten weeks is normally too young for the rabies vaccine, so complete the booster schedule we send home with it first. When the rabies certificate is issued, take your Goldendoodle for its licence and microchip, and confirm the current procedure with GCC then.

The puppy's price is the same for every city and depends on lineage and documentation. Delivery timing and cost for Chennai are agreed before you book.

Budget roughly ₹6,000 to ₹12,000 a month for food, grooming and routine vet care, plus year-round parasite prevention and the electricity for a cool room.
