Sector home or high-rise society? Two different Poodle lives
Greater Noida is a planned city, and the kind of home you have there changes what owning a Standard Poodle looks like day to day. Most buyers fall into one of two groups.

Neither is a reason not to get a Standard Poodle. They are calm indoors and do not bark much. What matters is that the long daily walk actually happens, and in Greater Noida the space to do it is usually close at hand.
Societies, lifts and the Greater Noida pet rules
Register your Poodle with the Authority
The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has made pet registration mandatory. Owners need proof of vaccination from a licensed vet and are asked to register a new pet within 15 days, and to update the record if ownership changes. Keep the vaccination and deworming records that come with your puppy together, because you will need them. Check the current process with the Authority when your puppy arrives.
Using the lift
Two sets of guidance apply. The Animal Welfare Board of India says housing societies cannot ban pets or stop them using lifts. Greater Noida's own pet guidelines ask owners to use the service lift where there is one, and to let other residents ride first if anyone objects. In practice, a Poodle trained to sit quietly in the corner of a lift on a short lead makes both easy. Start practising as soon as your puppy comes home.
Responsibility if something goes wrong
Under the GNIDA guidelines, an owner is responsible for the medical costs if their pet bites or injures someone. Standard Poodles are not an aggressive breed, but a large, bouncy adolescent can knock over a child in a corridor. Early socialisation and reward-based training matter more in a busy society than anywhere else.
Balconies
On upper floors, net the balcony before the puppy arrives. Young Poodles are curious and surprisingly agile, and a railing gap that looks safe for a person is not safe for a puppy.
Greater Noida's heat and winter air

Winter air. Greater Noida regularly records some of the worst air quality in the country in November, after Diwali and during crop-burning season. On days when the AQI is very poor or severe, cut walks to short toilet breaks and work your Poodle's brain indoors instead.
Open, unshaded roads. Many of the newer roads and developments have little tree cover yet. From April to September, walk before 7 am, and test the road with the back of your hand before letting paws on it in the evening.
Indoor exercise for smog days
- A sniff mat or puzzle feeder for one meal a day
- Hide-and-seek with treats, or with a family member, around the flat
- Two or three five-minute training sessions teaching a new trick
- Tug and fetch down a corridor, on a rug rather than a slippery floor
Standard Poodles are clever enough that twenty minutes of thinking tires them almost as much as a walk.
From Bathinda to Greater Noida
Our puppies are raised in Bathinda, about 370 km from Greater Noida, which is a journey of around seven hours by road. You can:
- Visit and collect. Meet the mother, see where the litter is raised, and take your puppy home yourself. It is a long day, but it is the best way to buy any puppy.
- Have your puppy delivered. When we deliver, your puppy travels by car with a responsible person and is handed to you in person. Puppies are never sent alone as cargo. We do not transport puppies in extreme heat; the journey waits for a safe day. Before delivery, we set up a live video call so you can see your puppy and its mother. A word of caution that applies to any seller: delivery is convenient, but it should never replace seeing the mother. That is why we set up a live video call before every delivery, so you meet the mother and see the litter first. Be wary of any seller who offers to bring a puppy to your door but will not show you where it was raised.

To keep a Standard Poodle in Greater Noida, budget roughly ₹6,000 to ₹12,000 a month for food, grooming every six to eight weeks and routine vet care. Grooming is the cost people underestimate. Choose a groomer who can scissor a curly coat rather than only clip it, and line them up before your puppy arrives.
